Lab 4 – Linux servers and Ansible

Two Ubuntu 26.04 instances, Telnet and Ansible.

Launched an Ubuntu client and server, restricted the SSH private key, installed the Telnet client by hand and configured the Telnet server with an Ansible playbook run from the client.

ansible all -i inventory.ini -m ansible.builtin.ping
ansible-playbook -i inventory.ini telnet-server.yml

Lesson: Telnet sends passwords in plain text – SSH is the right tool for administration.
